A thought on "Motivational" posters

Am I the only one who thinks these "motivational" poster things are perfect examples of people displaying to all that they have no artistic skill or sense of humor? Because I am neither amused nor impressed by these abundant wastes of space. I mean, I'm sure once upon a time they could have been considered entertaining, but now it's like every time I sign on to Deviant Art, I see like 50 more new posters making jokes that have already died years ago.

I'm speaking specifically about the A:TLA ones; they are just...lame. I have never seen one that has made me go, "Oh! How charming and witty! Another bland attempt at sarcasm regarding certain peoples' choices of pairings in a cartoon! This person is obviously very talented with their screenshot cut-and-paste skills! OMG +FAV!" I think what just gets on my nerves is when I look at someone's gallery, and 90% of it is motivational posters made with A:TLA screenshots, as if that's some form of fanart. Guess what, people: it's utter crap. Absolutely nothing to be proud of. At least make a freaking attempt to draw something or come up with a decent joke, instead piling all this cut and pasted garbage all over the place.

Sad thing is, I don't think this fad is ever going to end. The internet is just a disgusting and horrible place...*sigh*

Zutara Week 2009 is officially over, but I still have three pieces to finish. I'm afraid work, going to Disneyland for my friend's birthday, and spending a magical night running around in a park at 2am with an amazing guy who makes my heart sparkle and helps me forget my douchebag ex all got in the way of my finishing my Zutara Week art. Bad me.

It's all in the works, though! I'm just having a lot of trouble coming up with ideas that haven't been done already...;_;

I'll figure something out, and I will try to make them as amazing as possible! 8D
